Best Rap Mothers Day Tribute
When it comes to the best tribute songs to parents a few songs immediately come to mind. Tupac Shakur and Kanye West both did a great job of making tributes to the woman that birthed them, and so did Jersey Demic. We all know of Kanye West’s Hey Mama and Tupac Shakurs classic Dear Mama. Another mother however should not be forgotten. Jersey Demic first featured his mother on his debut album “Walk on Water.” In the outro you hear Demic’s mother speaking about a few hardships growing up. The outro was secretly recorded by Jersey Demic in a phone conversation with his mother while they were discussing how they grew up. She talks about moving to Harlem in New York City in the crack cocaine era of the 80′s.
