How to make hiphop beats
Starting this week Jersey Demic will start a weekly series on teaching upcoming producers the ins and outs of making hiphop beats. The series will be called “How to make hiphop beats.” The session will last at least 30 minutes and will discuss chord progressions, drum kits, layout, technique, and styles of hip hop. Demic will be working from an MPC and a Yamaha Motif during each demonstration. Set your clocks to Friday at 10pm EST and tune into the live video stream by visiting this link. If the stream is broken or delayed you can personally contact Demic via his Facebook Fan page to ask any questions related to hip hop production. Software used will include Pro Tools, Garageband, and FL Studio. Other production software programs can be used upon request. Leave a comment below or post to the Facebook page to RSVP to the session. It is free to view the session but there are only a limited number of spots per session.
